Good times ahead! 5 tricks for a happy life

Mann springt auf der Straße

Negative thoughts and experiences are difficult to shake off, let alone control. Have you ever noticed that with a positive attitude you overcome challenges better, interact differently with those around you and generally appear more self-confident?
Not everyone is blessed with a healthy dose of optimism, but with our tried and tested methods everyone can become a soldier of fortune.

1. Establish a morning routine!

When you're still asleep in bed in the morning, do you check Instagram to see what a great life the rest of the world is leading? Leave it!
The morning makes the day and before you start looking at everything you don't have, invest the time in yourself and your well-being. Just 15 minutes of yoga or meditation sharpen your senses and ensure inner peace. Set your focus and smaller goals for the day and you will see that you make it more conscious and productive.

2. Spend time in the fresh air!

Not groundbreaking advice, but often underestimated: spending time in the fresh air can significantly reduce stress. Especially in summer, the sun stimulates our body's own vitamin D production and gives you a crisp complexion.

Of course, with a full-time job you can't just walk around outside all day long. But you should take the time for a short walk every now and then. You'll see: After a creative break in nature, things start to feel much better.

3. Music on, head out!

Of course, you should listen to music that lifts you up rather than down. Put on a song that makes you happy, close your eyes, and just try not to think about anything. You'll be amazed at how quickly the stress disappears. Ask your contacts what playlists they listen to to unwind.

4. Be grateful for every day!

We take a house over our head, food in the fridge and clothes on our body as a given, but for many people it isn't.

Instead, we like to nag; whether because of the neighbors, the late train or the gray soup that we Germans like to call heaven.

When we regularly focus on the positive things around us, we are happier during the day and go through life more consciously. Happy vibes – happy life.

5. Be open to new things!

Remember the last time you tried something new and the feeling you had afterwards. Was it a good thing?

Then jump into the cold water more often. Travel alone, talk to strangers or book a hostel rather than a hotel on your next vacation.

Trying new things broadens your horizons, makes you a more open-minded person and promotes personal development.

Do you want to meet new people and experience things, but don't know where to start?

We designed con.tact so that you can easily and safely make new acquaintances and find friends who share your similarities and goals with you.

So jump over your shadow and try something new.
Happy contacting!

Why it is worth moving to Frankfurt (and not to Berlin)

You're crazy, my child, you're moving to Berlin! Why Frankfurt is the cooler city!
Between vineyards and skyscrapers, Appelvoi pubs and gourmet restaurants, Opera Square and the train station district, lies the German financial capital Frankfurt am Main. It's not just English people who have been shaken up by Brexit that are taking a liking to the Hessian pearl. A young, dynamic and international audience cavorts from the Westend to Sachsenhausen, making Frankfurt the silent superstar of German cities.
For a long time Berlin was considered THE place to be, the city for everyone who is alternative and hip, for those who think they would miss something elsewhere, #FOMO. In the following post we will tell you why Frankfurt has replaced the capital as the coolest city in Germany.

How you can find new friends in every city

“So, where have you lived?” What was unimaginable for our parents' generation is now commonplace, if not essential, for us: frequently changing where we live. The reasons for moving to another city, or even another country, are varied and yet similar. But hand on heart, how many good friends do you make if you live multi-locally and constantly meet new people? If you know how, it's not that difficult to find new friends in any city.
