I am the nomad of our family and have spent many years abroad. Being a vagabond can be nice, but it can also be very lonely. Explore the city alone, go to the restaurant alone, go to the bar alone, go to the park alone - even though there are a lot of people everywhere.
My generation doesn't just talk to strangers, except maybe in places like Tulum where people feel like it's allowed.
I wanted an app that was an icebreaker, that instantly connected me to other people in the here and now.
If you go to the same café, restaurant or park, you already have something in common: you like the same place.
It should become normal again to approach new people without feeling uncomfortable. Actually, you're always happy to meet new people. Different mindsets, people with different hobbies and other jobs can open doors for us. To give the whole thing an additional fun factor, we have launched the con.tact Challenge: Connect via con.tact and find out what you have in common in a speed meeting in 45 seconds!
And there are other ways to connect via the app. I want everyone to be able to create a network with value and maybe discover new things, just like we discovered something new every day as children.

I've been with con.tact since the beginning and am happy to see how the brand comes to life every day. The best thing about it is working with Julia, one of my best friends, and creating something new together. The whole team is fully behind it and is incredibly committed. We have a common goal and that is totally motivating. Each of us is responsible for different areas, but we work together on the big things and building the app. This is how I learn from my colleagues every day.
